Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) in Dedal CPMS: Enhanced Security for Your Account

Protecting corporate data has become a critical requirement for modern businesses. This is especially important for companies that manage financial information, contracts, budgets, and documentation related to construction projects.
To help organizations strengthen their security, Dedal CPMS now supports Two-Factor Authentication (2FA). This additional security layer provides enhanced account protection and significantly reduces the risk of unauthorized access to the system.

What Is Two-Factor Authentication?

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is a security method that requires more than just a password to access your account.
After entering your username and password, the system requests a six-digit verification code generated by an authenticator app on your smartphone. The code changes automatically every 30 seconds and is generated directly on the device, so an Internet connection is not required.
Even if someone gains access to your password, they will not be able to sign in without your phone.

How to Enable 2FA in Dedal CPMS

Setting up 2FA only takes a few minutes.
To enable it:
● Install Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator on your smartphone.● Open your profile in Dedal CPMS and go to the "Two-Factor Authentication" section.● Click "Enable 2FA".● Scan the QR code with your authenticator app or enter the secret key manually.● Enter the six-digit verification code generated by the app to complete the setup.
Once enabled, you will be asked to enter a verification code every time you sign in after entering your password.

"Remember Me" Option

If you regularly use the same computer, you can select the "Remember Me" option when entering the verification code.
In this case, the system will not request another code for the same browser for 30 days. If you sign in from a different browser or a new device, verification will be required again.

What If You Lose or Replace Your Phone?

If your phone is lost or replaced, simply contact your organization's administrator.
The administrator can reset your two-factor authentication settings, allowing you to sign in with your password and configure 2FA again on your new device.
Administrators can also view the 2FA status for every user within the system.

Who Should Enable Two-Factor Authentication First?

Although Two-Factor Authentication is recommended for every user, it is especially important for employees who work with sensitive business information, including:
● company executives;● accounting teams;● finance specialists;● users responsible for contracts, work completion certificates, budgets, and payments.
