HR and Payroll in Dedal CPMS: Payroll Accounting

A new functional module — “HR and Payroll” — has been added to Dedal CPMS.
This is an important update for the system, as it adds the ability to calculate the salaries of employees involved in project work and track these expenses within the project.
The new module is not positioned as a standalone payroll program. Its main value lies in the fact that payroll data is linked to projects, tasks, timesheets, payment documents, and overall cost control.

The new “HR and Payroll” module expands these capabilities and adds tools for personnel records, timesheets, payroll calculations, payments, and settlements with employees.
As a result, construction automation becomes more comprehensive: payroll is not treated separately from the project but as an integral part of work and cost management.

HR Records and Production Calendar in Dedal CPMS

As part of the new module, the “Employees” directory has been implemented, allowing you to maintain information about employees and restrict access to data based on their business roles.

The “Position” directory has also been added, with the ability to link a position to a specific employee.

A separate component of the module is the production calendar. It allows you to configure workdays and days off, use default settings, and reschedule days.

These tools form the foundation for further work with schedules, timesheets, and payroll calculations.

Time Sheet for Construction Projects

The “HR and Payroll” module includes a full-featured time sheet.

It has a user-friendly interface and functionality for daily tracking of hours worked. The timesheet includes a daily editor, a limit of up to 24 hours per day, project management in the header and columns, tracking by individual employee, and a duplicate checker.

Additionally, a work crew is no longer required: a department can now serve as a secondary source for filling out the timesheet.

Work schedules have been further refined: you can now resize columns, customize day types and colors, and use the “Organization” schedule type.

These features help track working hours in the construction industry and use this data to calculate salaries for employees involved in project work.

Payroll Calculation for Jobs and Projects

The “HR and Payroll” module supports payroll calculation for employees involved in project-based work.
The system supports payroll calculations based on completed work, calculations for idle time, hourly pay, fixed salaries, and manual data entry.
Payroll calculations can be allocated by project and task. This allows for a more accurate reflection of labor costs within a specific construction project.
The system also includes a “Pull from Plan” feature. It allows you to link payroll calculations to the work plan and more accurately reflect labor costs within the project.
To monitor payroll calculations, a “Payroll Statement” report has been added, which displays wages for work performed and for downtime.

Payroll Disbursements and Settlements with Employees

Dedal CPMS includes a payroll statement for processing payroll.

It enables payroll disbursements with automatic debt repayment on a FIFO basis and tracks settlements with staff.

Additionally, when processing payroll in the system, a link to the payroll statement is maintained. This helps you see which document served as the basis for the payment.

The “Settlements with Employees” report has been added to analyze these transactions. It helps monitor the status of settlements with staff and complements the system’s financial accounting.

Tracking Payroll Costs in the Project Card

One of the key features of this update is the “Accrued Direct Payroll” metric in the project card.

This allows you to view direct payroll expenses directly within the context of a specific project.

This is crucial for managing construction project costs, as payroll expenses become part of the overall picture alongside labor, resources, finances, and other metrics.
