Dedal CPMS Mobile Client: Construction Management from a Smartphone

Dedal CPMS now has a mobile client designed for working directly from a smartphone. It is intended primarily for employees working on construction sites who need quick access to the system: viewing tasks, changing their statuses, adding comments and photos, and recording actual volumes of completed work.
Essentially, it is a mobile construction app connected to the same Dedal CPMS database. Data entered from a smartphone is immediately available in the main system interface, with no separate synchronization or manual data transfer required.

Construction management from a smartphone

The Dedal CPMS mobile client includes the core functions required for day-to-day work directly on a construction site:
● working with tasks;● recording actual daily work progress.
Planning, budgeting, financial management, reporting, and other functionality remain available in the main Dedal CPMS interface.

This approach makes it possible to use a smartphone for operational work on site without overloading the mobile interface with functions that are more convenient to perform on a computer.

How to access the Dedal CPMS mobile client

The mobile client is available at: https://cpms.dedalsoft.com.ua:2026/m/
No separate registration is required. Users sign in with the same credentials they use in the main Dedal CPMS version.

The client works as a PWA, so it can be added to the smartphone home screen and launched from its own icon like a regular application.

To install it:

● Android / Chrome — open the browser menu and select “Install app” or “Add to Home screen”;● iPhone / Safari — tap “Share” and select “Add to Home Screen”.
After that, the mobile client can be launched directly from the smartphone home screen.

Managing tasks from a smartphone

In the Tasks section, users can view their tasks, find the necessary ones using search, and filter them by status: All, In Progress, Overdue, or Completed.
The list displays the main task details: status, project, deadline, and the number of comments and attachments.

Directly from a smartphone, users can:

● change a task status according to the permitted workflow transitions;● view comments;● add a new comment;● attach a photo taken with the smartphone camera.
This enables construction site task management without constant access to a computer. A site employee can record the result of completed work, attach a photo, or update a task status directly on site.

Before uploading, photos are automatically resized on the phone, helping them upload faster even when the mobile connection is unstable.

Comments and photos added from a smartphone are stored in the same task card and are immediately available to users working in the main Dedal CPMS interface.

Construction progress tracking directly on site

The second key feature of the mobile client is recording actual completed work directly from the construction site.
The user selects a project and date, finds the required work item, and enters the quantity completed during the day. The planned quantity and unit of measurement are displayed alongside it.

Users can also add construction photo documentation for a specific work item and date. This keeps photos linked directly to the relevant progress data instead of storing them separately in messengers or the smartphone gallery.

Actual progress entered from a smartphone is recorded in the same operational plan-versus-actual data in Dedal CPMS as information entered through the main system interface.

Data protection during simultaneous work

If the actual quantity for the same work item and date has already been changed by another user or edited in the desktop version, the system does not overwrite the information automatically.
The mobile client displays both values and allows the user to choose which one to keep: their own value or the current value stored on the server.

This helps prevent data entered by another employee from being accidentally lost when several users are working with the same information.

If the connection is interrupted, resending a comment or photo also does not create a duplicate.

Online mode and further development

The Dedal CPMS mobile client currently works online. A network connection is required to load and transmit data.
Offline mode is planned as the next stage of mobile client development.

At present, the mobile interface is available in Ukrainian regardless of the language selected in the main Dedal CPMS interface.

Operational construction control with Dedal CPMS

Effective construction project management depends not only on having a plan, but also on receiving timely information about what is actually happening on site. When data on completed work, tasks, or site changes arrives with a delay or is exchanged through messengers, spreadsheets, and verbal updates, it becomes more difficult for managers to maintain an up-to-date view of project progress.
The Dedal CPMS mobile client shortens this path: operational data can be entered directly on the construction site and immediately becomes part of the unified project management system.

If your company lacks timely information from construction sites or still relies heavily on manual data exchange, Dedal CPMS can help organize real-time construction progress control and improve interaction between the construction site and the office.
